6th INTERNATIONAL BISEXUAL CONFERENCE
24th August - 28th August 2000
Manchester, England, UK
Have you booked your summer holiday this year? If not, then here's a chance to have your cake and eat it. The 6th International Bisexual Conference will be taking
place in Manchester UK, imortalised by the ground breaking TV series "Queer as Folk".The weekend, also coincides with Manchesters Gay Fest , so the city will
be teeming with colour and celebrations. The Conference, will incorporate a four days of socialising, fun, debate, talks
as well as entertainment and site seeing, a chance to meet old friends and make new
friends.
The conference provides a social space for Bisexuals, their friends, partners and families to meet, as well as space for those involved with activism and developing
resources for Bisexuals, to share and discuss ideas and strategies.. The conference is not restricted to people who solely self identify as Bisexual, but is open to all
people from different areas and interests to share ideas around Bisexuality.
Calling all artists
Submissions are wanted from bisexuals, their friends and allies. Submissions can be in any media - text, drawings, photography, computer art, etc, but they must
be 7" x 10" or smaller (1"=25mm) - to fit a standard comic bag.
Work need not be "about" bisexuality (whatever that means), and will not be judged on artistic merit. All work submitted will be on display throughout the conference and then auctioned and the proceeds donated to bi community causes.
